Common questions

Is it really free for personal use?
Yes — genuinely free, forever, for one person. No credit card, no account, no trial clock. The only thing you ever pay for is your own AI subscription (Claude, Gemini, Codex or Qwen), and those keys live on your machine. Plans exist only for teams that need shared visibility and enterprise controls.
What counts as “personal use”?
One individual running TofuFactory on their own machines — including for paid freelance and commercial work. You only need a Team plan when multiple people want a shared task queue, shared receipt history, or centrally-managed policy across the org.
Does my code or do my keys ever leave my machine?
No. TofuFactory runs locally and ships zero telemetry. Your repos and API keys stay on your device — we couldn't see them if we wanted to. Team and Enterprise add shared metadata (task titles, receipts, activity) through your org's workspace; source code still stays on each developer's machine unless you choose self-hosted remote workspaces.
What does Team cost?
We're in early access, and Team pricing is being set with our founding teams — per active user, locked in for early adopters. Talk to us and we'll land on a number that's obviously worth it against the cost of one bad merge. Personal stays free forever either way.
What's included in Enterprise?
Everything in Team, plus SSO/SAML and SCIM, org-wide audit logs and IP allowlists, a self-host / on-prem deployment option, private model routing, custom integrations, a 99.9% uptime SLA, dedicated support, and security review with a DPA and custom contracts. Talk to sales for volume pricing.
Can I switch or cancel anytime?
Always. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from your workspace settings — no calls, no retention gauntlet. If you drop back to Personal, the local app keeps working exactly as it did, free.
